San Carlos Charter (SCC), a progressive K-8 charter school located in San Carlos, is seeking a staff member for Educare, SCC’s before and after school program.
Educare strives to create an emotionally and physically safe environment built on teamwork, social awareness, inclusion, and acceptance. We offer a welcoming atmosphere in which every learner is valued and given the support needed to grow. Our school community fosters a sense of belonging and invites learners to advocate for themselves and others. Through experiential learning, Educare imparts life skills and principles such as cooperation, responsibility, respect, courage, and self-discovery. Educare provides dawn-to-dusk learning opportunities, enabling continuous development and education. Communication between Educare staff, parents, and educators creates a strong sense of community for all learners and families.
We are looking to add 1-2 staff members (depending on hours available) to our team. The position is a 10 month (mid-August to Mid-June) position offering 20-35 hours per week. Our hours of work fall between 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. New hires would need to complete some training before being able to work a full 30-35 hours as some of these hours do involve closing. We would like to fill the position(s) immediately.
Our program is in a school setting and would be an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to pursue a career in education. The ideal candidate has experience working with children in a group setting and enjoys working with children of all ages. Our team works closely with each other to provide high quality after school programming for our learners — strong communication skills are essential to being successful in this role. Candidates should have a history of reliable attendance in the workplace.
